Town of Karlovy Vary is situated 140 km west of Prague. It was founded by Czech king and Holy Roman emperor Charles IV in 1358, and it is known for its mineral springs springing curative water, beautiful colonnades, Moser glass and Thun porcelaine, Becherovka liqueur made of herbs and delicious local wafers.

There are 12 mineral springs there and you will have the chance to taste them. The most famous is Vřídlo, which is the hottest - 72ºC and the highest – 17 metres.

During the International film festival, one of the oldest in the world, Karlovy Vary is visited by famous actors and other celebrities. We can name some of the most famous - Gregory Peck, Alan Alda, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert de Niro, Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, Rene Zellweger, Miloš Forman and others. The last Bond movie Casino Royal with Daniel Craig was filmed here. You shouldn´t miss it!

Your guide will pick you up in your hotel together with your chauffeur and a car of your preference. The journey to Karlovy Vary lasts about 2 hours. During the way your guide will explain the history of Karlovy Vary and Czech Republic while you drive through the beautiful scenery of the western part of Bohemia.

Arrival to Karlovy Vary is really charming. Because it is situated in a valley, while going down to the town you will have a truly beautiful view of the town surrounded by forests.

Once you are there your guide will walk with you in the historical center of the town, starting at Grandhotel Pupp, and finishing at hotel Thermal. During this walk your guide will explain all about the famous historical buildings you will be passing, you can taste the delicious spa wafers, 12 mineral waters or the 13th one - Becherovka - traditional Czech liqueur made of herbs.

After the walk you will go for lunch to one of the local restaurants and then you will have your free time.

The tour ends in the evening in your hotel or in the center of Prague if you prefer.
